Extends process communication capabilities of Simatic WinCC and enables data exchange with OPC Unified
Architecture servers. The package consists of an explorer/browser as configuration-tool for
WinCC-projects and a Channel-DLL for runtime-mode data-exchange. The explorer/browser uses an
OPC-UA Discovery Service to detect OPC-UA-servers and allows browsing the servers address space
and displaying items. Items can be selected and added as tags in the WinCC-project.
WinCC-connections are automatically created according to the selected endpoint. Subscriptions are
dynamically created and managed according to the tags used in tag-logging and alarm-logging, on
screens and in scripts. WinCC-scripts can be used to read item-values synchronously. |
